If you take a strong interest in eating a healthy diet and exercising regularly, obtaining mental fitness will complete the total fitness package. Just like with physical fitness, we have to work at it to stay mentally fit. If not, we tend to react poorly or insufficiently to life events and we may come to later regret our decisions. When obtaining mental fitness, we gain an understanding about why people do the things they do. This helps us to learn not to take things personally and deal with situations in ways that will achieve sustainable results.

Topic 2: Making Better Choices

You have the power to realize the life of your dreams. The purpose of this talk is to describe the importance of relationships, both personal and professional, and how they affect your success. The key concepts introduced are building those important relationships, creating a type of emotional resiliency and understanding the components of total behavior. By putting all of these together, you will learn to weed out what is distracting you so you can focus on what is important for you to succeed.

Topic 3: Secrets to Combating Depression

You have the power within yourself to combat depression. It has been proven that placebos work comparably to antidepressants in alleviating depression. The focus of this talk is to explain how to create the placebo within yourself. It is a combination of presenting facts and helping to change your mindset so you will feel happier and more in control of your life.

Topic 4: Breaking the “Nice Guys Finish Last” Fallacy

Though having narcissistic tendencies may be beneficial in running a company, it’s not a requirement. When we go through those tough periods, we often think about how much easier life would be if we didn’t care about how we treated others. But we do care. That often results in additional stress, but it doesn’t mean that we can’t handle the job. The purpose of this talk is to describe the components of mental fitness so as to improve emotional resiliency. Why do we need this? It helps us to stay strong as we make those important decisions and to develop our support system so that we are ready to deal with the potential repercussions.
